Willie Nelson Releases His First Bluegrass Album.
Willie Nelson has set out to reinterpret some of his classic songs of the past utilising a group of world-class pickers on his new album Bluegrass.
The Bluegrass project, will be his next of some 150+ albums in the 90-year-old country legend’s discography.The new release, is set to hit on 15th Sep., and features a new recording of You Left Me a Long, Long Time Ago.
Bluegrass will feature a handpicked selection of a dozen of his more famous songs. Picked by Willie and his longtime producer Buddy Cannon. The track list includes timeless classics such as On the Road Again, Yesterday’s Wine, Still is Still Moving to Me, and Good Hearted Woman, along with several others.
Nelson embraces the bluegrass genre, and has retained a group of bluegrass musicians to breathe new life into these beloved compositions. The album pays homage to the Appalachian string band music that has had a profound influence on Nelson’s songwriting and the broader landscape of country music.
