Who Are The Gippsland Jammers?

Jamming in Warragul Victoria.

Sometime ago in Warragul I started inviting beginners to my house to learn to jam and build jam skills and confidence. Those sessions went on each month for around two and a half years. It was a heartening process, watching peole learn how to play music with each other and grow in confidence in what they did.

In late 2009 I left Warragul to start a new job on the Sunshine Coast and sadly had to leave behind the monthly jams. However, to my delight the group continued to meet on a regular basis, thanks to Tom Guilford and Steve Jackson who carried on the tradition.

The group has just moved into a more public venue called Victoria Hall, on the corner of Victoria and Albert Streest Warragul. The jam is led by intrepid jam leader Steve Jackson The jam is held on the last Sunday of the month from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. So your are invited to bring your instruments, voices and enthusiasm for some rollicking good fun.

The above photo shows the Warragul jammers taking a break to pose for the mandatory group shot.
