by | 20 Apr, 2011

Jo Harris from the Acoustic Peacock in Willunga, S.A., has let us know of a performance coming up by the Tombstone String Band.

Tombstone String Band features Rick Hunt on banjo and guitar; Diana Fusco on bass; Terry Ford on guitar, banjo and harps; Paul Thompson on mandolin and guitar and also featuring Bridget McDowall on fiddle.

They played there last year in November and are scheduled to return to the Acoustic Peacock on Saturday 28 May at 7:30pm.

Info at the Acoustic Peacock Website.

The Acoustic Peacock is a new music venue that promotes original artists (instrumental and songwriters) and even the odd poet.

It is located at the Willunga Peacock Farm – a venue of classic Aussie rustic charm where you will be able to catch the best in original music on the second Friday of every month.

The delightful Peacock Farm is the ideal all weather entertainment venue. The renovated stone and timber main building, once a shearing shed, has near perfect acoustics, and its wide verandahs and expansive gardens allows for flexible seating and stage arrangements. The venue will cater for an audience size of up to 150 seated patrons, with bar facilities and a kitchen that supplies tasty food.

If you attend an Acoustic Peacock evening of music on the second Friday of each month, to listen to a range of original music and poetry covering a broad spectrum of genres, you will do so in a peaceful rural setting, albeit within 50 easy kms of Adelaide, in one of South Australia’s most attractive country towns.
