The Lost Banjo

by | 15 Sep, 2011

Jeff MosierIn March of this year Jeff Mosier, a career musician, checked his banjo on to a Delta Airlines flight from Seattle to Atlanta. He had just completed a series of dates in Alaska, playing with Peter Rowan.

He had checked his banjo into the baggage as the flight was listed as full, and there are limited storage spaces on the plane since 9/11 and the overhead bins were full.

When Jeff arrived in Atlanta, his banjo was undelivered.

I wanted the banjo not money. It’s irreplaceable, and it’s my livelihood. I have no money for attorneys and my life with three kids and a career keep me overloaded. However, I believed though at some point in time that it would show up in a google search somewhere on the internet. I searched and searched for months Jeff Mosier.

What happens next is an amazing story to follow. You can read the entire saga on the No Depression Website.

Thanks to Gary Roberts of Victoria, for the heads up on this great story.
