2012 Harrietville Program Line up

The Harrietville Festival this year promises to be bigger than ever with a host of local and international bands scheduled for the weekend event. As usual the weekend will consist of  a series of afternoon and evening concerts, day-time vocal and instrumental workshops, supper shows, open mic stages, Sunday Gospel concert, structured jams for less experienced players and new starters, shape note singing and lots of informal picking sessions.

The Thursday night features a community concert with Bluegrass band – Audie Blaylock and Redline as well as an Old-time mountain square dance – with live music from our old-time USA guests – all dances taught and called – no experience needed.

Dorrigo Festival 2010 Lineup

Dorrigo 22nd to 24th October 2010.

The Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival really kicks off at on Friday 22nd Oct., at 6:00pm with and Old Time Square Dance led by The My-T Fine String Band in the showgrounds’ main pavilion. There’s fun for all the family, all dances are called so you and your feet know exactly what you’re doing. Then comes some of the festival’s headliners with Stiff Gins, Miles To Go Trio & Bluestone Junction.

The Luncheon Pavillion also opens at 6:00pm on Friday evening with The Junes performing their country swing.

Workshops are held during the day on Saturday and Sunday. These will include a wide range of music making with some wonderful  musicians sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm. There are workshops and entertainment catering especially for children as well.

Festival Choir will be led by Mundy-Turner, your chance to become part of the festival choir, rehearsals on Saturday & Sunday mornings with a Sunday performance on stage in the afternoon. Everybody is welcome.

Early Bird Tickets (available until October 1st) are only $65. A Whole Weekend Pass is $75. Youth Pass (for primary & secondary school students) is only $20 which includes all activities and workshops.

The Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival is an alcohol and smoke free event. No dogs are allowed onto the festival site.

My-T-Fine Stringband

My-T-FineNeighbourhood Centre – Richmond, NSW

Fans of the My-T-Fine Stringband, can catch them at the Macquarie Towns Music Club this Saturday 20 June 2009.

The club is a longstanding Saturday night music venue and is located in the Neighbourhood Centre on West Market St, Richmond. The evenings runs from 7.30-10.30pm.

My-T-Fine Stringband features Rod & Judy Jones, Lindsay Mar, Len Newland and Harold von Finster.
