Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin as Co-hosts
Steve Martin must have a team of publicists working around the clock these days. He has been a consistent news item of late, making appearances on talk shows, making strategic appearing with other musical celebrities, releasing CD’s, touring and now co-hosting the Academy Awards.
I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin – Steve Martin.
Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will serve as co-hosts of the 82nd Academy Awards. Steve Martin also hosted the 73rd and 75th awards shows and served as a presenter on the show several times, most recently at the ceremony in February when he appeared with Tina Fey.
I don’t play the banjo but I’m thrilled to be hosting the Oscars, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime – Alec Baldwin.
Martin is currently touring with Steep Canyon Rangers in support of his latest album The Crow: New Songs for the Five String Banjo.
