The Gospel Plowboys Release Something To Be Said
Following omn from the release of their last single, Let Me Walk Lord By Your Side, Morning Glory Music has recently announced the release of Something To Be Said, the highly anticipated fifth album from beloved bluegrass gospel group The Gospel Plowboys.
With a heartfelt mix of original compositions and treasured favourites, this album continues the band’s mission of spreading the gospel through powerful harmonies and top-tier musicianship.
The band is proud to release its fifth album entitled Something To Be Said, which features original songs written by The Gospel Plowboys and other songs previously recorded by the likes of Randy Travis and the Stanley Brothers – guitarist and vocalist Michael Jenkins.
The album showcases the talents of the current lineup: Michael Jenkins on guitar and vocals, Kris Miller on vocals, Daniel Schronce on mandolin and vocals, Peden Williams on 5 string banjo, Alec McCallister on the fiddle, David Brown on vocals, with guest musician Aaron Ramsey on bass.
From heartfelt originals to rich interpretations of classic gospel tracks, Something To Be Said is a testament to the band’s commitment to both tradition and innovation in the bluegrass gospel genre.

The Gospel Plowboys are a bluegrass gospel group dedicated to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and His saving grace. It is by His shed blood that we are saved.
We dress in denim bib overalls, white shirts and red ties. These are the colors of Old Glory of course, but it goes further than that. It is in tribute to the 30’s that we do this. Bluegrass style music was just becoming popular. Our great country had terrible problems, much like it does now. However, our country prospered and grew back then. The difference from then and now is that we loved God then and were willing to put Him first. Sadly, that is just not the case anymore. We must get back to loving God and putting Him first.
The group has standards that each member must adhere to. They must be born again Christians. This is first and foremost. They have to know who and what they are singing about. They must attend church and maintain a neat appearance. Though we strive hard to have great musicianship as well as great three and four part harmonies, it all really comes down to this – good Christian first, good musician second. It is our prayer that we can position ourselves where God can use us to touch others. We desire your prayers as we try our best to fulfill our motto: Plowing the ground, planting the seed ….that Christ died for you.
