New Release From Danny Burns – Some Might Say.
Danny Burns is forging ahead with the rollout for his upcoming full-length project Promised Land. This new work is due for release coming in 2023 via Bonfire Music Group. The Irish-born artist has reveal his latest single from the album titled Some Might Say.
The full song is available for download and/or streaming here.
Some Might Say is a tune that likely sounds familiar to a lot of music fans. It was originally released by the English rock group Oasis in 1995. However, Burns’ newly recorded version puts a unique twist on the track like never before, with a Bluegrass meets Folk meets Americana spin. It was recorded at Neal Cappellino’s Doghouse Studios in Nashville and features Dennis Parker on harmony vocals, Billy Contreras on fiddle, Matt Menefee on mandolin., Josh Methany on Dobro, Ethan Burkhardt on bass, Scott Vestal on banjo and Tony Wray on acoustic guitars, plus mixing and engineering by Brandon Bell. Given Burns’ upbringing in Ireland, it was very common to hear the song covered at pubs and bars over the years.
It’s the follow-up to the lead single Someone Like You featuring Grammy winner Tim O’Brien. The official video – see below – recently made its world premiere on CMT last week. The song has proven to be a huge success for Burns, becoming his very first No. 1 hit on the Bluegrass Today Grassicana chart.
What else can fans expect from the long-awaited Promised Land? The answer is quite simple: the same heart and spirit that has existed in all of Danny Burns’ previous material. With a total of 10 recordings, he’s taking a slightly different approach with this album going straight-ahead Bluegrass. It serves as the follow-up to the 2019 debut project North Country. It was met with high critical-acclaim securing features on top publications like Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, Billboard and many others. Danny also has another holiday surprise coming within the next month as well.
Stay tuned as more surprises are in-store, including an impressive lineup of guest artists who will also be performing on the collection. To learn more check out Burns’ official website www.dannyburnsband.com.
