snowyfestWith over 45 acts and 150 shows at the Snowy Mountains of Music, Perisher is readying the over-snows, testing the sound levels and stocking the fridge in preparation for festival-goers getting into festival fever.

With early snowfalls and snowmaking activities already begun, Perisher will be the perfect place for a Winter escape on the June long weekend, 5th – 8th June. For bluegrass fans you can expect the following: –

John Taylor – Bluegrass Sessions

John is a banjophonist, and will lead some hot picking and plucking with a mighty fine bunch of musicians. Expect spontaneity and energy. Sat V8 The Eiger 3.30pm-4.45pm.

Davidson Brothers

Just into their early 20s, the Davidson Brothers are Australia’s number one Bluegrass act. Having toured Australia extensively and the USA, these two young blokes have all the energy & drive of their generation and an innate ability to transpose that to a younger audience.

They won their first Golden Guitar award in 2009 for Instrumental of the Year and both Hamish & Lachlan hold current National Bluegrass Championships. Sat. V6 Sundeck 12.45pm-2pm, Sat V8 The Eiger 7.30pm-8.30pm, Sun V1 Smigs Stage 12.15pm-1.30pm.
