Shelter In The BayShelter in the Bay is a swingy, duet-style track featuring Darryl Poulsen on lead vocals and guitar, Adrian Gross on mandolin, Frank Evans on banjo and harmony vocals, and Charles James on bass and background vocals. About The Slocan Ramblers:
The Slocan Ramblers

The Slocan Ramblers

The Slocan Ramblers is Canada’s most celebrated bluegrass act. Rooted in tradition yet fearlessly creative, The Ramblers emerged from humble beginnings in 2010 playing in Toronto’s rowdy bars to gracing the most storied stages of the genre – The Grand Ole Opry, MerleFest, Rockygrass and beyond.

Quickly earning a reputation as a powerhouse live band not to be missed, The Ramblers carved out a place for themselves on festival stages across North America and Europe. Critically acclaimed recordings garnered a Juno nod and Band/Ensemble of the Year awards at the IBMA and Canadian Folk Music Awards. They were also recipients of the IBMA Momentum Award in 2020.

Their latest release, Guests Vol. 1 – Nashville on Mountain Fever Records, brought the group to Music City to cut a record that captures the magic of a late night backstage jam session. They added to the mix fiddle & dobro greats Jason Carter, Michael Cleveland, Brittany Haas, and Justin Moses, got Alan O’Bryant of the legendary Nashville Bluegrass Band as producer, hit record and had a ball.

This is roots music without pretension, full of heart and guts, designed to remind you why you loved bluegrass in the first place.

The Slocan Ramblers are: Adrian Gross on mandolin, Charles James on bass and vocals, Bryan McDowell on fiddle, banjo and vocals and Darryl Poulsen on guitar and vocals.
