Session Venue is set to re-open as part of the Good Folk Experience;
Here is an opportunity to participate, have some fun, meet new people, learn new material at the Good Folk Experience in Queanbeyan ACT.
Admission to the Session Venue is free. Special features include Lerida pop-up wine bar, damper and stew, Guinness, merchandise and raffle tickets.
All of the sessions will be held at Campbell & George corner of Campbell & George Streets, Queanbeyan.
The Saturday program features:
Aussie Tunes | 9:30am – 11:30am |
Session leaders: Ray Mulligan & Moir Holmes. A selection of dance tunes collected in Australia over the past 70 years. Sessions will start slow to include beginners and move a bit faster in the second hour. Sheet music will be available. |
English Session Muster | 2:00pm – 5:00pm | Session leaders: Jackie Luke & Greg Wilson Dust off those accordions, tubas, & fiddles and enjoy some rollicking English tunes with our popular English session. |
Old-Time Session | 7:00pm – 10:00pm | Session leader: John Taylor The old time session will include some of the region’s finest players. So come along and tap your foot and be transported to a simpler time and place with some of the best traditional acoustic music on the circuit. |

Good Folk is a two-day concert series and will also provide a two day sessions venue, bringing together the folk community in Queanbeyan and beyond, to experience exceptional performances, celebrate folk culture while supporting musicians and local businesses.
The National Folk Festival is partnering with Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council to deliver this COVID-safe, inclusive and innovative festival alternative for 2021. The scaled down event features 22 concerts over two jam-packed days in classic Queanbeyan venues including The Q, a newly upgraded Bicentennial Hall, the historic Royal Hotel and Campbell & George.
