The first single will be released to radio later this month via the Rural Rhythm Fresh Cuts & Key Tracks No. 5. The album, My Own Set of Rules was produced by Lou Reid, and also includes band members, Christy Reid, Shannon Slaughter, Trevor Watson, with special guest Ron Stewart on fiddle.
I believe, as a whole, that this project encompasses more of my personal musical taste than any recording I have put out to date. The songs bring in all the elements of bluegrass that I love; the contemporary, traditional and gospel. We played with each song, working on arrangements and specifically the harmonies. We all shared different ideas – getting each song where it needed to be. The entire band is very excited about signing with Rural Rhythm Records. After having a nice conversation with Label President Sam Passamano, I knew we’d have a good Artist and Label relationship. Sam has over 30 years experience in the record label business and along with son Sammy and daughter Jennifer, they are a synchronized team, working to make sure that everyone and everything is taken care of in a timely manner. I’m very impressed with Rural Rhythm Records and look forward to our new album release My Own Set Of Rules due out late summer – Lou Reid.
