Rounder recording artists garnered multiple awards from the 2008 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) at last night’s 19th Annual awards show held at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN.
Newcomers Dailey & Vincent swept 7 categories including Entertainer of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year, prompting host Del McCoury to laughingly remark, Well, they didn’t leave nothin’ for the rest of us, did they?
Michael Cleveland picked up his 6th win for Fiddle Player of the Year while he and his band Flamekeeper received The Instrumental Group of the Year Award for the second year in a row.
Blue Highway received Song of the Year forĀ Through the Window of a Train.
Rob Ickes received his 10th consecutive win for Dobro Player of the Year.
