Qantas and Musical Cargo

In the interests of musicians everywhere Spin Doctor has conducted extensive research this week into what is and what’s not allowed on an airplane.

This line of investigation was prompted by a campaign led by local musos over Qantas’ unwillingness to let them carry their instruments on to planes as hand luggage, unless they happen to be violinists.

Anyway, the issue appears to be that our national airline has changed its policy regarding the carrying on of anything musical, unless it’s a violin or viola.
