Poor Man Rich Man from The Gospel Ploughboys

The Gospel Plowboys have released a new single, Poor Rich Man, ahead of their bluegrass gospel album, Still Standing, set for release in October 2022, on Morning Glory Music.

What I love about The Gospel Plowboys is their genuine love for God, which shines brightly on every album. ‘Poor Rich Man’ is a high-energy, encouraging song that reminds us that our heavenly inheritance is something money can’t buy – Angie Gable, WSKV Radio.

Poor Man Rich ManPoor Rich Man includes the talents of band members, Michael Jenkins on guitar and vocals, David Brown on upright bass and vocals, Andrew Brown on mandolin and vocals; Kris Miller on vocals; Alec McCallister on fiddle, and Peden Williams on banjo.

We’ve been singing this song for many years, and people seem to really enjoy it everywhere we go. This tune has been covered by Southern Gospel Greats such as The Happy Goodmans and our heroes, The Easter Brothers. We’ve had many requests for it through the years since we started playing it, so it’s nice to finally get it on an album so folks can take it home with them – Michael Jenkins.

The Gospel Plowboys’ recent singles, Don’t You Want To Go and Dallas, have been warmly welcomed by radio programmers and listeners. Don’t You Want To Go climbed to #6 on the Singing News Magazine’s Gospel Chart in August 2022 and appeared on Bluegrass Today’s Gospel Song Chart for numerous weeks.
