Pedersen and Hillman by Noel Mengel

Courier Mail’s  Noel Mengel visits the Brisbane’s Old Museum for the Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen concert.

The generation of musicians who produced what became known as country-rock in the ’60s are also now thin on the ground, or already gone. But the influence of artists like the late Gram Parsons and Gene Clark, young men who burned with passion for country music and for rock’n’roll, is still strong.

And Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen, who played with both of them, are still here and still effortlessly fusing traditional country music with contemporary songwriting, immaculate musicianship and sublime harmony singing.
