This new single sets off what is sure to be a successful recording career with Mountain Fever Records. As is characteristic of Clark’s skill, he leads a band of exceptional pickers that propel him into what so many artists find intriguing about bluegrass; the carefree nature of its traditional sound. I’ve always wanted to record this song, one of my favorite early Mountain Heart tunes that honestly directed my music into the style of bluegrass I play today. The lyrics talk about long periods of time away from home, which as a touring musician, I can definitely relate to – Will Clark.

On My Way Back To YouThe track On My Way Back To You was written by Jay Don Johnson (Yocham Bend Publishing, BMI) and features Will Clark on lead vocal and mandolin; Chevy Watson on guitar and tenor vocal; Gavin Stinson on bass and baritone vocal; Jason Davis on banjo; and Ron Stewart on fiddle. The song was engineered and mixed by Wes Easter, and mastered by Aaron Ramsey.

The Pickens, SC native has been immersed in the world of mandolin music since childhood. Alongside his proficiency as a tenor singer and his mastery of various bluegrass instruments, it’s the mandolin that resonates most deeply with him. Beginning his musical journey in local and regional bands across South Carolina, he found his stride when he joined the James King Band in 2012. Subsequently, he lent his mandolin skills to Dave Adkins before stepping into the role of mandolin player for the acclaimed Terry Baucom and the Dukes of Drive.
