Davidson Brothers

Golden Guitar Instrumental of The Year Nomination for Davidson Brothers.

Tamworth Regional Council and the Country Music Association of Australia Inc (CMAA), has announced the nominees for the 2022 Toyota 50
Golden Guitar Awards. While there are a raft of Australian country music artists that top the list it is pleasing to read that some our Aussie Bluegrass artists have made the nomination list.

Davidson Brothers

The Davidson Brothers

Hamish and Lachlan Davidson’s new instrumental titled Golden Plains is available on all major digital platforms including Bandcamp and Spotify.

This new Davidson Brothers tune was written between lockdowns in 2020, and then recorded down in Geelong Victoria. Joined by some of their musical comrades and time bluegrass friends in the studio; Daniel Watkins, Paddy Montgomery and Isaac Barter. The tune is an lively and sprite instrumental inspired by the reality of both Davidson brothers now residing in what were once gold rush towns, and had to drive through Golden Plains to record it.

To add to the credentials of this great Australian band, in the lead up to the big event in Tamworth, the CMAA has released a special edition 50th Anniversary Collection of Golden Guitar Award winning tracks, which includes their original song Back Where I Started.
