Throwndown Thursday Release the Next Big Thing.
Throwdown Thursday is back with Next Big Thing, a heartfelt new single that dives into the very real struggles of chasing dreams that always seem just out of reach.
The song Next Big Thing,, tells the story of someone caught up in the excitement of late nights, city lights, and those fleeting moments of happiness we all know too well. Underneath the fun and energy, there’s a real sense of longing. It’s an honest look at what happens when the search for meaning leaves us feeling empty, even in the middle of the action.
Grounded in the band’s unique mix of old and new sounds, Next Big Thing pairs honest storytelling with impressive musicianship. It’s a song that feels lived-in, real, and instantly familiar. It’s another strong entry in Throwdown Thursday’s growing catalog.
The single features Kati Penn Jenkins on lead vocal and fiddle, delivering a performance that is both intimate and powerful. She is joined by Justin Jenkins on banjo, Evan Maynard on mandolin and harmony vocals, Ronald Mosley on guitar, and Kyle Perkins on bass. Together, the band brings depth, drive, and authenticity to a song that invites listeners to look beyond the shimmer and ask what truly lasts.
Throwdown Thursday’s last release posted here was Leaves In Late October.
Next Big Thing is available now on all major streaming platforms.
