Santa Claus is Coming to Town By The Kody Norris Show
Santa Claus is Coming to Town is second instalment in Rebel Records’ 2025 Christmas singles trilogy.
Award-winning band The Kody Norris Show is ringing in the holiday season with a bouncy, jovial take on the Christmas classic Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Frontman Kody Norris has long been known for his love of the holidays and the joy they inspire. For this year’s Christmas offering, the group selected the timeless classic Santa Claus Is Coming to Town aiming to capture the magic, nostalgia, and warmth that define the season. Their rendition delivers a heartfelt nod to cherished childhood memories and the anticipation that builds as families prepare for Santa’s arrival.
No Christmas would be complete at our house without an abundance of Gene Autry Christmas records. Since childhood these recordings have been a staple of Christmas in my world, so naturally when asked to make a recording for this Holiday Season, Santa Claus is Coming to Town made it to the front of the line. I hope the magic of Christmas will shine through as we take you on a nostalgic journey of happy times and fond memories as we all get ready for Santa Claus to come to town – Kody Norris.
This new single Santa Claus is Coming to Town, follows the band’s 2023 holiday release, Mountain City Christmas, an original song written by Norris about his hometown of Mountain City, Tennessee. Embracing a classic bluegrass theme of longing for home and loved ones, the song became a longtime live-show favorite before its official release in and has since become a cherished seasonal staple among fans.

While the reigning SPBGMA Entertainers of the Year are known for the rhinestones that shine from their lapels and the fringe that conjures memories of times gone by, The Kody Norris Show remains firmly focused on the future.
The foundations of the electrifying four-piece band can be found within the roots of Kody Norris himself, a once inquisitive youngster from Mountain City, Tennessee who would spend hours sitting in the passenger seat of his Uncle Jack’s Chevrolet El Camino listening to the entirety of The Stanley Brothers 16 Greatest Hits tape, wondering if he would ever be able to match the sweet harmonies coming through the speakers.
It was those very harmonies that Norris also would recognize wavering through the rafters of the Baptist church he attended as a kid. There was a bluegrass quartet that would play in the Free Will Baptist Church, and soon Norris became infatuated with the music that could materialize from a banjo and a guitar. So, at nine years old, he picked up the mandolin.
Most recently honoured with the 2025 IBMA Video of the Year award, the group continues to expand their creative reach and visibility throughout the bluegrass community and beyond.
Their trademark high-energy style has earned them consistent chart success, with All Suited Up (2021) and Rhinestone Revival (2023) reaching #7 and #8 on the Billboard Bluegrass chart, and their latest album Highfalutin Hillbilly (2025) rising to #2 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Album of the Month chart.
The Kody Norris Show has performed on the Grand Ole Opry multiple times, consistently receiving standing ovations, and has appeared on the historic Ryman Auditorium stage, SiriusXM, and at numerous festivals and venues worldwide.
