Cedar Hill

A New Single Out Now From Cedar Hill, Charlotte.

Cedar Hill a taditional buegrass band from the Ozark Mountain Regions of Arkansas and Missouri have released their new single Charlotte.

There is a lot of room in today’s music for traditional-sounding songs. Charlotte has that 60s and 70s type feel to me. Also, the lead line of the chorus is a clever play on words, and I like that in a song. It’s catchy – Frank Ray, band leader.

CharlotteCharlotte features Frank Ray on mandolin and harmony vocal, Patti LaFleur an upright bass, Pete Brown on fiddle and harmony vocal, DJ Shumate on banjo, and Dalton Harper on lead vocal and guitar.

The band’s last album, New Chapter, was well received due to its vibrant mix of traditional and original tunes highlighted by the stellar instrumentation and vocals. New Chapter includes several chart singles like How Deep is the Lonesome, Tend to My Flowers, and The Art of Love.

Like one found in a good book, New Chapter is full of action and keeps you on the edge of your seat to see what’s gonna happen next – Joe Ross, Roots Music Report,

Cedar Hill’s has enjoyed years of success with the talents of Frank Ray. His impressive career includes his induction into the SPBGMA Hall of Greats in 2019, the MerleFest Bluegrass Songwriter Award in 2018, the National Traditional Country Music Association’s (NTCMA) Lifetime Achievement Award in September 2018, and his induction into the NTCMA Hall of Fame in 2008.
