One of our northeastern bands “The Kissin’ Cousins” has won the ABC Goulburn Murray leg of the Exhumed competition, similar to an Australian Idol type competition for bands whose members are over the age of 30. They have the chance to win a recording contract and national TV exposure, and need as many votes as possible.
The Kissin’ Cousins play old timey/bluegrass music and have played at festivals such as Harrietville, Kelly Pick, Yackandandah /Illawarra/Kangaroo Valley folk festivals and are seeking the support to vote for them in the process.
This is a great chance to promote bluegrass and old timey music. To vote, go to the ABC Exhumed Bands website and click on the Victorian section; and then follow the links to vote for The Kissin’ Cousins.
Congratulations to The Kissin’ Cousins: Troy and Bec Humphreys on guitar and fiddle, Izzy Paton on mandolin, fiddle and vocals, Josh Grundy on mandolin, Max Hyland on the banjo and Adrian Osborne on double bass.
