News just in from Dave Burton at the Muddy Farmer.
For those not at the Muddy Farmer last Thursday, we have had a name change. We are now called Brisbane Unplugged which has already been nick-named “The Bug”. Thank you for all those great names that people offered. We will all get used to it – Dave Burton.
Brisbane Unplugged features three offerings this week – Rachel Witney, Dave Logan and Friends, and The Jar
Rachel Witney – singer and instrumentalist. Rachel is the eldest sibling of a family of musicians well known throughout South East Queensland. Along with an extensive Irish repertoire she also has a familiarity with American Old Timey. This she gained from the playing of her parents. At various times a member of Sunas, Pirate Brides and later with the Kytes , raising a young family has taken up much of Rachel’s time recently.
Dave Logan and Friends – Tom Montgomery, Scott Collins,Randall Mathews and Don Jarmey.
The Jar – one of Brisbane’s longest established Irish bands features Martin Rees on electric mandolin, John Drury on bass and bodhran, John Logan on rhythm guitar and Randall Matthews on viola.
