Australia’s premier Bluegrass and Old Time Music festival is set to go on sale from 1st August.
For 28 years, Harrietville, a small village in the foothills of the Victorian alps, has echoed to the high-lonesome sound of bluegrass and old-time music.
MountainGrass is sweet songs, turbo charged bluegrass and jamming into the night. Think campfires, comfy lodges, country pubs and the song of the Ovens River flowing through the town.
MountainGrass takes over the town. It’s three days of concerts, workshops and music in every venue in town. The marquees and Harrietville’s little halls hum, the pubs serve great food, stay open late and put on shows.
This November you can catch Trey Hensley, Rob Ickes and Mike Compton from the USA, with 46 albums and a load of Grammys between them. There’ll be bands from all around Australia and New Zealand.
Take the kids no-charge for under 18’s. Please book early; Harrietville’s accommodation, including the caravan park, fills up quick.
Tickets go on sale from August 1st. To get a feel of the event you can find MountainGrass on Facebook.
