The Final Chapter - Lost & Found

Mountain Fever Records has released the new album, Final Chapter, by Lost & Found.

Final Chapter is a remarkable heritage album celebrating the band’s 50th Anniversary as one of the most influential bands in bluegrass music.

Most of the tracks on Final Chapter were recorded in late 2013 by Sammy Shelor, sound engineer, at Mountain Fever Studios in Willis, VA. Mountain Fever Records owner Mark Hodges recently came across the “lost” hard drive containing the recordings that appear on Final Chapter.

I would like to give a huge thank you to Mark Hodges at Mountain Fever Record for encouraging me to get this album out. I really enjoyed laying down each track. It was such a pleasure to work and record with the entire group – Allen Mills.

About Lost & Found:

The band formed in 1973 and recorded over a dozen albums, including songs like Love of the Mountains, now a bluegrass standard. Thankfully, Lost & Found’s music continues to inspire younger generations. The original band included Mills on bass, Gene Parker on banjo, Dempsey Young on mandolin, and Roger Handy on guitar. Over the years, band members have included Berry Berrier, Lynwood Lunsford, Ronnie Bowman, Shane Bartley, Greg Luck, Jody King, Ben Greene, and many more. The band has stayed active since1973 and until a couple of years ago when Mills retired from touring.
