Mike Mitchell’s Little Mountain Home Released By Mountain Fever Records.

Little Mountain HomeMountain Fever Records has announced the release of Little Mountain Home, the debut single from acclaimed fiddler and singer-songwriter Mike Mitchell’s highly anticipated forthcoming album, Love Songs, Torch & Bluegrass. Now available on all digital platforms, this new track marks a poignant and deeply personal chapter in Mitchell’s musical journey.

Rooted in authenticity and nostalgia, Little Mountain Home is more than a song – it’s a reflection of a life lived close to the land and in harmony with the traditions of bluegrass. Written by Meredith Wilkerson, the track resonated deeply with Mitchell.

Some pieces of music resonate so profoundly, they feel like your own story, your own truth. This gem is one of them. It takes me straight back to when my young family and I arrived in the mountains, full of intent and homesteading dreams – Mike Mitchell.

Drawing from his formative years in Virginia’s Floyd County, the single paints vivid scenes of quiet mountain living, pickin’ parties that went till dawn, and the simple joy of growing deep roots. It’s a love letter to the life that shaped him — not just as an artist, but as a father, husband, teacher, and community member.

Produced by Darin Aldridge, with fiddle tracks produced by Mike Mitchell and Deanie Richardson, Little Mountain Home features an all-star lineup of bluegrass greats: Mike Mitchell on lead vocal and fiddle, Darin Aldridge on guitar and vocal harmony, Tim Surrett on bass,  Wayne Benson on mandolin. Kristin Scott Benson on banjo.

The track was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Van Atkins at The Shop Studio in Enka, NC, delivering a warm, clean sound that perfectly supports the sincerity of the lyrics and musicianship.

Love Songs, Torch & Bluegrass, is set for release in early 2026 and promises a rich blend of timeless romance, mountain soul, and Mitchell’s signature fiddle-driven storytelling. Little Mountain Home is the perfect introduction; an invitation into a world where tradition, heart, and melody meet.
