Lake Macquarie Jam Camp & Pick for 2025.
In the last Jam Camps Australia newsletter I said I was heading down to NSW to look for a Jam Camp venue for 2025.
After several years hosting successful camps in other states such as Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland and Victoria, by popular demand, Jam Camps Australia is currently considering a Jam Camp in New South Wales.
I am working with folks in the Rathmines region to host a Jam Camp in May 2025, at the historical Catalina Lake Front Retreat on the waters of beautiful Lake Macquarie. It’s an amazing family destination not just for a bluegrass music weekend, but for a holiday, tourist activities, fishing and boating.
In May of 2025, I hope to run a Wernick Method Jam Camp in Lake Macquarie. For the first time, the size of the venue provides for more than just a Jam Camp. This allows other bluegrass musicians not wanting to be part of the Jam Camp to pick away the weekend with friends and family.
I hope to provide a weekend where people may book in to the venue’s accommodation, or pursue other accommodation options in the area. There are limited spaces available at the venue for your own tent, caravan, camper or trailer. There are also a range of other caravan parks in the region.
About Lake Macquarie:
Lake Macquarie is Australia’s largest coastal lagoon. Located in the City of Lake Macquarie and Central Coast Council local government areas in the Hunter and Central Coast regions of New South Wales, Australia. It covers an area of 110 square kilometres and is connected to the Tasman Sea by a short channel.
