This weekend sees the 3rd annual Karuah River of Music Festival in New South Wales. If you’re interested in Bluegrass, if you’re interested in music festivals or just interested in having fun and want to get some hands on experience, plan to be there at KROM.
Karuah is set on the banks of the Karuah River and is located 205 km north of Sydney and 51 km north of Newcastle accessed via the Pacific Highway.
Karuah has reinvented itself as a welcoming village for travelers north and south after being bypassed by the Pacific Highway in 2004. From the short Driver Reviver stop to that short break or well-earned holiday, Karuah has a diverse range of accommodation and businesses, capable of servicing every travelers needs accouding to the festival website.

There is plenty of scope for playing at this festival, with a number workshops and jam sessions set up. Just turn up with your instrument of choice and join in.
There are eight venues that will feature planned entertainment including the Main Grass Stage; River Grass Stage; Karuah RSL Club; Karuah Hotel; Karuah Arts Centre; the Mobil Service Station; The Meeting Place and the Streets of Karuah.
Tickets; $35 for the whole weekend and are available from the Karuah Hotel on Friday, and the Karuah Tourist Information Centre. Sunday only tickets are only $20.00.
