Jordan Tice – CD Release

by | 25 Jan, 2009

jordanticecdJordan Tice has released Long Story his third album and second album of original music.

In 21 short years – Jordan Tice and his guitar have gone places that people twice his age can only imagine. Starting with the Allman Brothers and an electric guitar at age 12, Jordan got into bluegrass music through his parents, both of whom play bluegrass musicians. Concurrently, he studied jazz and classical guitar which helped him develop greater conceptual and technical understanding of the guitar as well as music theory. He is currently a senior music composition major at Towson University on full scholarship where he has written for jazz ensembles as well as classical chamber groups.

Jordan and I have something in common in that we both grew up in families with not one but two parents who play bluegrass music. We both also got dragged around to our fair share of bluegrass festivals as kids…. I think this record is great and I think than Jordan Tice is a great musician with lots to say. His voice is one I look forward to listening to for years to come -Chris Eldridge.

Musicians on the album include: Jordan Tice- Guitar; Casey Driessen – fiddle; Noam Pikelny – banjo; Andy Hall – dobro; Mark Schatz – bass and Mark MacGloshan- mandolin.
