The IBMA award-winning band Volume Five promises a hopeful new year with their new single, It’s Gonna Get Better, which is available today from Mountain Fever Records. The compassionate new tune, written by Craig Market and Tim Stafford, appears on the band’s album, KARMA, set for release on January 6, 2023.
It’s Gonna Get Better’ is a sentiment I’ve found to be true. I hope we’ve been able to articulate it effectively and I’m grateful to my Volume Five friends for recording it. I hope the song can bring some comfort to someone who’s feeling hopeless – Craig Market.
This new single features Glen Harrell on lead vocal, Jacob Burleson on harmony vocal and guitar, Aaron Ramsey on mandolin and octave mandolin, and Jeff Partin on harmony vocal, bass and resophonic guitar. The song follows the band’s previous chart hits from KARMA, including Losing My Religion, written by Josh Miller. The popular tune reached #1 on the Bluegrass Today Monthly Top 20 Song Chart last month and climbed as high as #2 on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Top 20 Chart.
Their first single, When Karma Comes Calling, was a 7-time #1 hit on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Weekly Song Chart and received success on Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine’s National Bluegrass Survey Chart and the Roots Music Report. The second single, What I Didn’t Say, was written by band leader Glen Harrell in honor of his parents and appeared for numerous months on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Weekly chart.
Volume Five is now on tour with Glen Harrell, Jacob Burleson, Aaron Ramsey, Chris Wade, and Jacob Eller. The group will perform at The Old Rock School in Valdese, North Carolina, on Saturday, January 14, 2023. For a complete tour schedule and to learn more about Volume Five, please visit their website.
