The Grascals Join Gene Simmons To Salute Troops

Heres a quirky piece of news that doesn’t crop up often. The Grascals and Kiss’s blood-spitting bassist Gene Simmons have at least one thing in common — an interest in supporting the troops.

The bluegrass group is coming together with the hard rocker for this week’s Aces & Angels benefit, with money from the show going to The Wounded Warrior Project and the USO. Simmons will host the four-hour concert bash in Dallas, Texas, which is among the events serving to launch the festivities surrounding Super Bowl 45. Little Texas, pop performer Five For Fighting, and the psychedelic rock group The Rival Sons are also slated to take the stage. The 45-hundred people in the crowd will include one-thousand Texas armed service members. The 2011 Aces and Angels Salute to the Troops is set for Centennial Hall in Dallas on Wednesday February 2nd .
