Great Alpine Pick Moves to Beechworth

Andrew Barcham from the Mountain Pickers Association has told us that the Great Alpine Pick is migrating to Beechworth. 2018 will see not only a change of location, but also a change of date.

Heading for its 8th year the 2018 Great Alpine Pick will be relocated to The Old Priory in Beechworth and the date moved to 16th to 18th March.

The Old Priory is the regular haunt for the Kelly Country Pick and features a host of rooms and accommodation options and a large concert venue.

We will be totally self-contained, all the Mountain Picker concerts and workshops will be held at the same venue. Meals for Friday night, Saturday lunchtime and dinner and Sunday lunch can be purchased in-house and there is quite a bit of varied accommodation to be had as well. They have a bar as well.We will miss Mountain View Retreat and thank them for the 6 years we were there. – Andrew Barcham, MPA.

The Mountain Pickers Association has confirmed the date and noted that it will still be in Daylight Savings in the south and earlier in the year should make it warm enough for evening picks outside, adding more atmosphere and opportunity to the weekend.

Keep an eye on the Great Alpine Pick website for news and updates.
