Enjoy two days of music concerts this Easter with Good Folk.
This Easter weekend, Queanbeyan will come alive with a vibrant program of indoor concerts and outdoor entertainment as part of Good Folk – a folk experience in Queanbeyan.
Good Folk is a two-day concert series, with a two day dedicated session venue, bringing together the folk community in Queanbeyan and beyond to experience exceptional performances and celebrate folk culture, while supporting musicians and local businesses.
At the heart of this re-imagined folk experience is support for local communities. In part a response to the unfolding events of 2020, the NFF’s 2021 focus is to foster and support regional talent, reinvigorate community engagement and celebrate folk music and musical expression.
NFF is partnering with Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council to deliver this COVID-safe, inclusive and innovative festival alternative for 2021. The scaled down event features 22 concerts over two jam-packed days in classic Queanbeyan venues including The Q, a newly upgraded Bicentennial Hall, the historic Royal Hotel and Campbell & George.
An impressive list of local and national artists will be performing, including 2021 Golden Guitar Awards “Female Artist of the Year” Fanny Lumsden, Central Coast trio Little Quirks, one of Australia’s most enduring musical ensembles, Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen, and Queanbeyan’s very own esteemed author, poet and rapper, Omar Musa.
