Gibson Jumbo Guitar.

This is an original instrument dating from around 1934. It is not a re-issue model.

This was the beginnings of Gibson’s 16″ flattop guitar line. The 1934 Jumbo was Gibson’s attempt to compete with Martin’s “D” series of guitars (introduced in 1932). The Jumbo was only made for three years and was then replaced by the J-35.
