Gamblers and Gypsies serves as the second single from Andrew & Brandi since debuting as a duo last November. The latest release was co-written by Crawford alongside Adam Comstock. It was created and arranged with the intention of opening the listener’s imagination with its free-spirited, but often dark vibe, aimed at highlighting the version of ourselves that is often kept tucked away. Another interesting angle is that it features Alex Williams singing, who had a song on the most recent episode of Yellowstone which aired earlier this month.
There’s a Little Big of Cowboy In The Heart of Every Man
The dynamic duo of Crawford and Colt brings an uplifting twist to the high lonesome sound of Bluegrass and Country music. Set apart by Andrew Crawford’s high energy flat picking guitar and Brandi Colt’s soul-stirring voice, these two are an absolute Appalachian treasure. It was a very natural connection after the pair have shared the stage over the years opening for bands like The Kentucky Headhunters, Little Texas, Sunny Sweeney, Kayla Ray, Clint Park, Josh Morningstar, 49 Winchester, Wolfpen Branch, American Aquarium, and Billy Don Burns at numerous venues and festivals around the country.
Andrew Crawford & Brandi Colt are gearing up for their upcoming project, which is set for release later this year. Fans were treated to the first taste with the lead single, In This Dirt. The tune was co-penned by Crawford and Colt alongside hit songwriter Jeff McClellan, who has written hits by top genre favorites like Dan Tyminski recently. Their powerfully haunting harmonies accompanied by their moving approach to songwriting are truly keeping the spirit of traditional Country music and Bluegrass alive.
