Folk Fringe and Bluegrass in Woolongong

The Wollongong Art Gallery will again play host to a series of free lunchtime concerts from Friday 12th to Saturday 20th November in the lead up to the 26th Illawarra Folk Festival.

The concerts will feature some of the Illawarras best folk artists and poets and will start at 12.20pm and finish at 1.30pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available for free, but patrons can bring their own lunches.

Tickets for the Illawarra Folk Festival to be held in January will also be available at the very low early-bird prices of $80 for the four days.

Friday 12 November – Acoustic Women with The Scarlett O’Haras and friends.
Saturday 13 November – Gospel Bluegrass and Beyond with Emma Hannah and the Silver River Band.

7.30pm Friday 19 November at City Diggers Wollongong is the place to catch the Big Folk 5 Pack Concert – Merri Creek Pickers- Big Old Timiness and Bluegrass from Melbourne , Rachael Dillon- Western Australian Songstress, Peter Hicks- Satirist and social commenrtator from Tasmania, Takadimi- folk from our youth from Canberra and singer and songwriter Gwynn Cleves from Sutherland. Members $10, Non-members $15.
