Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs deliver on Cumberland Gap.
Flatt & Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys band is arguably the most famous bluegrass band of all time. Following on from their time wiht Bill Monroe Falyy & Scruggs went on to perfect the bluegrass sound with Earls now famous three finger banjo style and Lester’s solid guitar playing and voice.
Foggy Mountain Boys were the band that brought bluegrass to international prominence. From 1948 until 1969, they were the bluegrass band, due to their Martha White Flour segment at the Opry and, their exposure through many TV shows and movies.
