European World of Bluegrass Festival

EWOBThe European World of Bluegrass Festival, the only European festival ever to win the IBMA‘s prestigious Bluegrass Event of the Year Award, has announced that artist applications are open for the 2010 Festival.

The EWOB Festival features 42 bands in 3 fun-filled days including a few special guest artists from the USA and Canada. It also features the European Bluegrass Band Awards competition where winners are winners are chosen by the musicians. The winning European Bluegrass Band goes to Nashville to play at IBMA World of Bluegrass one year later. Bands perform before a range of festival and concert promoters, the music press from the USA and Europe and Bluegrass radio DJs.

The festival dates are 13th to 15th May 2010 and applications remain open until 20th November 2009.

    Which festival would depend on what time of year you are planning to travel to Oz.
