Written by acclaimed songwriter Sarah Siskind, the track highlights Adair’s unmistakable tone, emotional depth, and commanding vocal presence, wrapped in elegant instrumentation and rich harmonies.
A song rooted in grace and reconciliation, Don’t Stay a Stranger unfolds with warmth and restraint, allowing Adair’s voice to carry the weight of its message. The recording features a stellar cast of bluegrass heavyweights: Cody Kilby and Pat McGrath (acoustic guitars), Ron Stewart (fiddle), Seth Taylor (mandolin), Scott Vestal (banjo), Byron House (bass), Rob Ickes (dobro), with harmony vocals from Jeff White and Ron Block. The single was produced by Tina Adair and Adam Engelhardt.
Don’t Stay a Stranger was written by the incredible Sarah Siskind. It’s a song about forgiveness and love. She told me God dropped that song on her, and she wrote it in 30 minutes — the very day she picked songs to send me. That gave me chills, because this was the first song I chose from the batch she sent – Tina Adair.
