Davidson Brothers in Nashville

by | 29 Sep, 2010

Hamish and Lachlan Davidson set off to the USA on Saturday to take part in the IBMA Awards night and to generally be a part of the bluegrass music gathering. Having recently been selected as some of Melbourne’s outstanding musicians, the duo have been a regular face at IBMA for several years and have also performed at the annual showcase.

On their first night in Nashville rather than sleep of the jet-lag they set of to catch up with ther record producer Mark Thornton who led them to a concert venue where they arrived just in time to catch a spontaneous performance from Randy Kohrs. He jumped up with the amazing house band at The Wheel on Lower Broadway in Nashville and sang a couple of country songs.

Lachlan actually got kicked out of the venue on the first night for falling asleep on the bar. Jet-lag’s a funny thing Hamish Davidson.

Lachlan recovered sufficiently from his jet-lag and is currently participating in the Bluegrass Leadership program, another annual event at IBMA.
