Earlier this month the Davidson Brothers were in Nashville, Tennessee where they were invited to be official presenters at the International Bluegrass Music Awards on the world famous Ryman Auditorium stage. during their flight home, the boys were awarded Australian Independent Country Group of the Year. The Davidson Brothers, aged in their 20’s, are the first bluegrass group to ever take this title.
Another first for the Davidson Brothers is next month they will be the first country act to perform at the Chapel in Prahran on Saturday 13th of November.
Hamish & Lachlan Davidson are currently top 10 finalists in the Melbourne Prize for Music , Most Outstanding Musicians category and are in the running to win a $30,000 grant towards their fast paced career. The winner is to be announced on 10th November.
In demand for recording sessions, and with frequent TV appearances, the Davidson Brothers are outstanding seasoned entertainers. They hold 6 National Bluegrass Championship titles and in January they won their second consecutive Golden Guitar for Instrumental of the Year at the Australian Country Music Awards in Tamworth.
