Dailey & Vincent Receive Their First Grammy Nomination

Dailey & Vincent Sing the Statler Brothers

Award-winning bluegrass duo Dailey & Vincent received their first Grammy nomination, in the category of Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, for Elizabeth from their acclaimed album Dailey & Vincent Sing the Statler Brothers. Other nominees in the category are Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, The SteelDrivers and Little Big Town.

Dailey & Vincent are the reigning three-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Entertainers of the Year, earning Vocal Group and Album of the Year honors along with the Entertainer title at the 2010 IBMA Awards on 30th September.

The Album of the Year trophy recognized Dailey & Vincent Sing the Statler Brothers. on Cracker Barrel/Rounder Records. Produced by Dailey and Vincent, the 12-song tribute to the beloved quartet debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Bluegrass Albums chart, where it spent 9 weeks at #1 and 19 weeks in the top 3. The album also entered the Billboard Top Country Albums chart at #19, earning the Hot Shot Debut and marking the duo’s first top-20 debut on that chart.

This is just amazing, to receive our first Grammy nomination for our recording of a song recorded by the Statler Brothers, a group I’ve loved since my childhood – Jamie Dailey.

Dailey & Vincent are currently listening to songs for their next studio album for Rounder Records, which will be produced by Garth Fundis. They will perform on the Grand Ole Opry on 24th and 25th December.
