Bluegrass supporting cancer research
Bluegrass and old time music inspired band Dear Orphans perform this Saturday as part of the bill for Concert for a Cure, which is raising money for the Westmead Medical Research Foundation.
Joining their regular line up of Lyn Taylor on the Gibson, Nick Payne on the Martin and Mike Kirkley on pedal steel will be old-timey practitioners Richard Galluzzi on clawhammer banjo and Lindsay Mar on upright bass.
Concert for a Cure is on this Saturday at Blacktown Olympic Park from 12pm til 8pm. It’s a family day featuring well known Australian country artists and Dear Orphans are proud to be bringing bluegrass to the bill.
