Cackalackey, a new radio show from Colac in Victoria.
Here is news of a new ‘bluegrass and americana‘ radio show starting next week on Colac’s community radio 98.3 OCR FM.
The hour long show is to be named Cackalacky (after the Jim Lauderdale song) and will be broadcast on Thursday nights from 8:00pm on 98.3 OCR FM. The show can also be streamed via the radios station’s website here.
The show’s host is Jason Colville, a musician and a long time bluegrass music aficionado in the region. The first show goes to air on the 28th of January, and given its proximity to Australia Day, Jason plans to feature all Australian artists on this premiere show.
OCR FM is Colac and the Southwest’s community radio station, broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week run entirely by volunteers. OCR FM delivers a variety of music and local information. The station also broadcasts from community events, festivals and sporting events.
