Fragments Of My Imagination – Butch Robins
Butch Robins was one of the busiest banjo players on the Nashville session scene for many years. He was described by fellow banjo player, Tony Trischka as a musical chameleon for his ability to fit into any situation playing gigs with artists ranging from Leon Russell to Bill Monroe.
Fragments Of My Imagination covers some broad musical territory. This is his second album for Rounder Records and is supported by Bela Fleck and Newgrass Revival members Curtis E. Burch, Jr., John Cowan, and Sam Bush.
To date, this is my most ambitious attempt at recording. The project could never have been completed without the dedication and cooperation of everyone involved, especially Sam. His confidence and talent are almost overwhelming and his musicianship is absolutely fantastic – Butch Robbins.
