BTCMSA Memberships Have Been Extended to November 2023.
The last 2-3 years have been pretty different and often quite challenging. Live music certainly suffered, along with many other things. Because of the inactivity, the folks at the BLuegrass & Traditional Country Music Society have extended all current memberships until the end of November, 2023.
Many thanks to those who have renewed over the last two years without being asked We’ll review the situation again in 2023 – BTCMSA.
At the moment membership basically covers website and domain hosting, membership database hosting, a basic phone plan and some other sundries such as printing of flyers and stationery. All of these costs have risen but can still, at the present time, be met from existing funds. Occasionally, small amounts of the BTCMSA funds also help to underwrite events like workshops. Other expenses, such as internet, computer devices and phone are covered by us (and other volunteers) as we are using them anyway for personal use.
The BTCMSA has been self-supporting for all of the 47 years of its existence, largely thanks to people’s generosity in contributing their time and resources for the benefit of the bluegrass & old-time music community. I’m sure that’s also the case with the other bluegrass & old-time organisations across Australia. Thank you everyone.
