Bluestone Junction to Play Thornbury Theatre

by | 12 Jul, 2011 | 3 comments

Bluestone Junction return to the Thornbury Theatre, Friday 22nd July 8pm for their first Melbourne show since supporting Peter Rowan at the same venue earlier this year.

You can enjoy two sets of fine traditional Bluegrass music from Bluestone Junction, in an intimate setting with a fantastic sound system.

Bluestone Junction’s sound is traditional bluegrass, but their repertoire includes original compositions, tunes by modern bluegrass ‘traditionalists’ such as the Johnson Mountain Boys, and of course classic compositions from bluegrass pioneers such as Bill Monroe, Earl Scruggs, Lester Flatt, the Stanley Brothers and more.

Bluestone Junction’s performances at major festivals throughout Australia have resonated with excitement, passion and integrity. They perform as the music’s originators did, around a single large microphone that accurately captures the complete performance without resorting to electronic trickery.

The Thornbury Theatre is at 859 High St, Thornbury Victoria 3071.

Entry $10 at the door, or book a table via: Ph. 03-94849831.
