I’m beyond excited about my new Gospel music project Blue Collar Gospel on Billy Blue Records. These songs are about ordinary people and their faith. Themes about everyday hard working folks, their struggles, their failures, their triumphs, and their faith and relationship with God. I’m so grateful to my co-writers and the performers who helped bring these songs to life. There’s nothing more important to me than writing Gospel music. I feel it’s my calling, a form of ministry, God’s plan for me – Rick Lang.

Bluegrass and country greats, such as Jerry Salley, the Oak Ridge Boys, Danny Paisley, Dave Adkins, Darin & Brooke Aldridge, Donna Ulisse, Barry Abernathy, Becky Buller, and many others breathe life into Rick Lang’s lyrics, infusing every word with emotion and depth. The album features some unique collaborations such as Blue Collar Gospel, (Jerry Salley and The Oak Ridge Boys) and Everyday Blessings, (Daryl Mosley and Jaelee Roberts) which bring their own perspective on themes of faith, hope, and resilience.

When asked to be a part of Blue Collar Gospel, all we had to do was hear that song one time, and we were in. Duane Allen, William Lee Golden, Richard Sterban and myself have fun on a little bluegrass with brother Jerry Salley. Hope yall like the song. We love the song – Joe Bonsall, The Oak Ridge Boys.
