Bill Monroe, is now playing in New York’s Times Square to promote Kentucky’s celebration of the centennial of his birth in 2011.

We’ve learned that the convention and visitors bureau in Owensboro, Kentucky, has created  a 15-second advertisement which is playing on a digital billboard on New York’s famous 42nd Street.

The advertisement is running 18 times each day, from 15th November through to 1st January. It is taking in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration. The project cost $15,000.
