Victorian & National Country Music Awards
Karen Lynne’s recent album The Singles has achieved two award nominations in the 2009 Victorian & National Country Music Awards. These annual awards are in recognition of the best of Australian Country Music offerings.
First award in the Smoky Dawson Best Independent Release Category and the other a Top 10 nomination in the Bluegrass & Traditional Country category is a Gordon Lightfoot song, The Circle is Small.
These Nominations have certainly surprised me!, but it’s always nice to have your music recognized, regardless of the way it’s packaged and just great to get another ‘Gong’ for what is certainly partially Bluegrass music in Australia. – Karen Lynne
